Article Icon 13,600+ NC Ballots Remain Uncounted

As of Sunday, 1,750 mail-in ballots and 1,912 provisional ballots remained uncounted in New Hanover County. Its Board of Elections says those ballots will be processed by Thursday, one day before the N.C. Board of Elections certifies statewide results.

New Hanover County’s BOE previously set a deadline to exclude absentee ballots received after Oct. 31 due to “volume and necessary verification procedures.” County Manager Chris Coudriet says the administrative cutoff deadline conflicts with state statute and that ballots received after that date will now be counted.

County commissioner races remain undetermined, and just over 1,000 votes currently separate several school board candidates. New Hanover Democratic Chair Jill Hopman says counting these votes could make a “tremendous, game-changing difference.”

Volunteers from more than 40 companies came together over the weekend to turn sheds into shelters for victims of Hurricane Helene.

An LLC called Squared Away Licensed Home Inspections organized the “Raise the Roof Fundraiser” in Moore County to prepare warm, safe living quarters for homeless residents of western North Carolina to shelter in as winter approaches.

The 10-by-16-foot sheds can fit at least two people and are ready to ship, complete with generators and heaters. The group aims to build as many as 50 sheds for the cause.

The Flyover

Did your mom ever tell you fruit is healthy? Mine too.

But I guarantee if your mother knew the damage a popular fruit does to your body, joints, and heart… she’d tell you NEVER eat this fruit again. You see, even though this fruit is marketed as being “healthy”… It actually contains a toxic nutrient your body sees as an “enemy.”

So, every time you bite into this fruit…

Your immune system flags this “invader”… and unleashes its army of toxin killers. And since this nutrient enters your bloodstream once it’s digested…

Your immune system starts attacking even HEALTHY tissue and organs… causing burning in your joints, muscles, and even your heart.

And even if you HATE fruit and veggies… I can 99.9% guarantee you’ve eaten this fruit in the past week — probably without even knowing it.

Luckily, Dr. Brian Paris recorded a video revealing the deadly truth about this fruit (and four other common foods).
