Article Icon 1Charlotte Airport Workers Strike

ABM and Prospect Airport Services employees who clean airplanes, remove trash, and assist passengers needing wheelchairs at Charlotte Douglas International Airport launched a strike early Monday morning.

The workers cast ballots Friday to authorize the strike, which was expected to last 24 hours. They’re demanding “an end to poverty wages and respect on the job during the holiday travel season.” Most of the employees earn between $12.50 and $19 an hour.

According to AAA, over 2 million North Carolinians were expected to travel for the holiday, setting a new state record.

About 1 million travelers were expected to pass through Charlotte Douglas International Airport between Thursday and Monday, compared to around 400,000 at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

If you’re traveling via car, be sure to buckle up. The N.C. State Highway Patrol kicked off its annual Click It or Ticket campaign, which charges violators with fines and fees of up to $187.

Article Icon 1Budd Named Vice Chair of NRSC

North Carolina’s U.S. Sen. Tedd Budd has been named vice chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), which works to elect Republicans to the U.S. Senate on Capitol Hill.

In 2026, 20 Republicans will be up for reelection, including North Carolina’s senior U.S. Senator, Thom Tillis.

Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina will chair the NRSC. Budd will serve alongside additional vice chairs Sens. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Katie Britt of Alabama, and Pete Ricketts of Nebraska. Sen.-elect Jim Banks of Indiana will also serve as a vice chair.

Budd posted that Republicans are “unified to advance President @realDonaldTrump’s agenda” and “grow our majority in 2026,” as they take control of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate in January.

Tested Founder Tackles $505B Challenge

IPOs and acquisitions are perhaps the most coveted outcomes for founders and early investors. Why? It’s how they cash in. Well, John Webley’s already achieved each in prior ventures – for exits totaling a combined $2.7 billion. Now, he’s turned his full attention to Trevi Systems to address $505B worth of problems.

Trevi’s patented water treatment tech purifies wastewater and seawater at half the energy cost and a third the thermal cost of traditional methods. It can even recover precious metals like lithium and nickel in the process. It’s no wonder why they’ve received 14 government grants, commercial deals to supply water in Oman and Kuwait, and a projected $8.7m in revenue this year. But that’s just the start. Trevi has ambitious plans to 30X revenue by 2028.

Proven leadership, breakthrough tech, a detailed roadmap for success, and one of the least elastic markets around – opportunities like this don’t come often. Invest in Trevi and secure your stake in the future of water treatment.
