The Roundup

Article Icon 1Snow Chances Increase, Prep Underway

Meteorologists continue refining this week’s winter storm details, with the latest forecast tipping toward 3 or more inches of snow accumulating Wednesday along and north of U.S. 64—especially near the Virginia border.

Southeast North Carolina will get mostly rain, while mixed precipitation will impact areas in between.

NCDOT began brining roads Sunday. School closures and delays are likely since the precipitation could last on and off throughout the day and impact travel conditions into Friday.

Johnston, Wayne, and Wilson Counties have the highest risk for ice accumulations over 0.25 inches, increasing the chance of power outages.

Any change to the storm’s track could impact which areas get hit. Follow the latest National Weather Service forecast here.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested 11 people in Durham Thursday after conducting a targeted operation involving illegal migrants.

All detainees are being held at a federal detention facility pending deportation hearings.

Prior to the arrests, North Durham residents witnessed the arrival of unmarked cars, which circled the area before parking. Several residents captured videos of ICE agents arresting three individuals believed to be from India.

The arrests prompted a spike in calls to a hotline run by Siembra NC, a Durham-based immigrant advocacy group.

It’s not clear if the Durham arrests are connected to a Feb. 8 ICE arrest in Raleigh of a man suspected to be a member of Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua gang.

The U.S. Army’s 18th Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg agreed to partner with Fayetteville State University to offer enhanced educational and collaboration opportunities, research initiatives, and internships for students and the military community.

After signing the agreement last week, 18th Airborne Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Gregory Anderson said the program “can have far-reaching effects to how we do business in the Department of Defense.”

The partnership represents a years-long effort for a community where 33% of FSU students are military-connected. It promotes academics, research, and professional development with a focus on subjects like public policy, national security, and technological innovation.

$2.1T in Untapped Potential – Time’s Running Out to Invest

After centuries of burning coal, most people still haven’t realized its true market value. Frontieras North America did… and their breakthrough patented technology unlocked at least 8 new and profitable ways to use coal—and a $2.1T opportunity in the markets.

Their technology is unleashing the 21st century’s “Rockefeller Moment” in the energy space… and you still have a few weeks to capitalize on it by becoming an early investor.

It’s similar to when John D. Rockefeller commercialized oil refining technology. And if this company captures just 2% of the global coal market, they have a clear roadmap to achieve a $1T valuation.

Their tech is simple: rather than burning coal and wasting trillions of dollars in resources locked within it, their process extracts those resources for the global commodities markets:

  • Diesel – $935B market

  • Jet fuel – $391B market

  • Naphtha – $249B market

  • Hydrogen – $242B market

  • Fertilizer – $212B market

  • Metallurgical coal – $147B market

  • And more

Their technology has already been validated by a successful operation in Texas. They’re building their first $850m facility soon in West Virginia, followed by more facilities across North America.

Don’t miss your chance to capitalize on the major breakthrough that will trigger the next “Rockefeller Moment” in the global energy space. Their current public offering will be closing on March 13th… become an early investor, while you still can!
