Question: Which signer of the Declaration of Independence lived in Hillsborough?
Answer: William Hooper, one of the three North Carolina signers of the Declaration of Independence, lived and died in Hillsborough. His historic home still stands there, and he was originally buried in the Old Town Cemetery before his remains were moved to Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in Greensboro.
