Question: What food did Biscuitville start out serving, instead of biscuits?

Answer: Biscuitville began not with biscuits, but with pizzas. In 1966, baker Maurice Jennings opened Mountainbrook Fresh Bread and Milk stores in Graham, North Carolina. Spotting the take-out pizza trend, the stores started selling fresh pizzas and by 1972 operated six Pizzaville locations in North Carolina and southern Virginia. Morning biscuit sales later outpaced pizza sales, leading to a full conversion.
