Own The Flyover

If You’re Still on the Fence—Here’s What You Need to Know

Since opening The Flyover to reader ownership, we’ve experienced exceptional growth—and it’s because of you, our readers, and our early investors.

Just look at what our community has accomplished in just a few months:
📈 Texas is closing in on 500,000 readers
🌴 Florida is up 32% since our crowdfunding began
🌵 Arizona has grown more than 30% this month
🌄 Colorado is up nearly 20% and now has over 100,000 readers
🏈 Ohio has nearly doubled, jumping from 28,000 to over 50,000 readers since October 1
🎧 The Flyover Podcast is approaching 400,000 monthly listeners

Across all Flyover editions, that’s 350,000 new readers added in the last month alone.

All of this growth—every milestone—was made possible by our investors.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, now is your moment. Don’t get left behind or let this opportunity pass.

How Do You Get a Return on Your Investment?

We believe in transparency. Like any investment, there’s risk—but The Flyover reached profitability after just two years, with 80% gross margins and 24% net income. That places us among the top 1% of media startups in America.

Here’s how your investment could create a real return:

  1. Sale: A larger media company or strategic partner could acquire The Flyover. If that day comes, we’ll only partner with those who share our values.
  2. Public Listing: We could one day go public, giving you the freedom to buy and sell your shares.
  3. Profit Distributions (Dividends): Because we’re already profitable, future dividends are a real possibility.

These are the same paths that have rewarded early investors in other successful startups—and they’re all possible because of the momentum you’ve helped build.

If you’ve been on the fence, now is the time to invest.

Join the movement that’s reshaping how Americans get their news.

Article Icon 1Board Eyes Upgrade Amid Vote-Buying Claim

As polls for municipal elections open tomorrow at 6:30 a.m., the North Carolina Board of Elections is seeking feedback on upgrading the state’s software systems while also fielding reports of a cash-for-vote scheme in New Hanover County.

The public can weigh in on, and vendors can submit bids for modernizing the Election Information Management System and Campaign Finance Reporting Software via a new website. The announcement came as North Carolina’s voter lookup tool experienced an outage on Saturday that has since been resolved.

Meanwhile, a New Hanover County voter reported receiving text messages offering $100 per vote for three Democratic candidates for Wilmington City Council.

The North Carolina Republican Party forwarded the unredacted texts to the board for review, and State Auditor Dave Boliek pledged additional resources to support a thorough investigation, promising to “hold any bad actors accountable.”

Article Icon 1NC Food Banks Receive $17.5M

Gov. Josh Stein announced Thursday that the state will grant $10 million to North Carolina food banks as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits were at risk of being paused over the weekend amid the ongoing federal government shutdown.

AmeriHealth Caritas donated $5 million, and the David & Nicole Tepper Foundation donated $2.5 million to support food banks serving some of the 1.4 million North Carolinians who rely on SNAP benefits.

The grant and donations preceded two federal judges’ separate rulings Friday ordering the Trump administration to use a $6 billion USDA emergency fund to cover SNAP benefits.

North Carolina businesses, such as JJ’s Mama’s Soulfood in Lexington and Guglhupf Bakery with locations in Durham and Chapel Hill, are also offering free food to SNAP recipients during the shutdown.

Article Icon 1$1.1M in Counterfeit Merchandise Seized

North Carolina authorities seized more than $1.1 million in counterfeit merchandise during October after conducting investigative sweeps at sporting events and celebrations statewide.

Officials uncovered $860,000 in fake collegiate and pro sports gear, plus designer knockoffs from Gucci, Rolex, and Nike at North Carolina A&T, Winston-Salem State, and North Carolina Central homecomings.

More than $208,000 in bogus Labubu dolls, watches, and T-shirts was confiscated at the North Carolina State Fair, and another $85,000 in counterfeit merchandise was seized at the Hickory Flea Market.

Secretary of State Elaine Marshall warned that bargain fakes fund crime, present choking hazards, and rob communities of tax revenue. No arrests were made because vendors surrendered the items voluntarily.

Unknown Number Calling? It’s Not Random

The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking. One worker bragged about making $250K from victims. The disturbing truth? Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers.

Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft. That’s why we recommend Incogni: They delete your info from the web, monitor and follow up automatically, and continue to erase data as new risks appear.
