Question: Where did Andy Griffith live in North Carolina besides his hometown of Mount Airy?

Answer: Beyond his hometown of Mount Airy, Andy Griffith lived a very private life on Roanoke Island, on 70 acres on the outskirts of Manteo. He first came to the island to perform in The Lost Colony outdoor drama, and eventually purchased property there. He spent his later years on the island, with his final resting place on his waterfront property.
