Question: What time do most people prefer to eat Thanksgiving dinner?

Answer: According to a 2024 Pew Research survey, 36% of Americans prefer Thanksgiving dinner in the early afternoon (between noon and 3 p.m.). Meanwhile, 38% choose late afternoon (3-6 p.m.), 11% prefer the evening (after 6 p.m.), and 1% prefer the morning (before noon). Another 5% have no preference. Regionally, Southerners and Midwesterners favor early afternoon, while Northeasterners and Westerners lean toward late afternoon. (Note: percentages do not total 100.)
