Next-generation airplane designer JetZero announced it will build its first manufacturing plant in Greensboro, a project that could create over 14,500 new jobs over the next decade.

The company, which plans to build the factory at Piedmont Triad International Airport, received over $1 billion in incentives from the state, as well as other incentives from local governments. The company expects to invest $4.72 billion into the factory by 2036.

The announcement is the largest job commitment in state history and is estimated to generate $250 billion for the state.

More than a dozen ‘No Kings’ protests are planned across the state today as part of a nationwide demonstration against Donald Trump.

The protests are set to coincide with President Trump’s military parade in Washington, D.C., and planners of the demonstrations say they will be nonviolent.

Authorities are preparing in advance but don’t expect issues, stating, “We don’t anticipate any problems, but we certainly have to prepare for them.”

Some state leaders decried the protests, with a GOP spokesperson calling the protestsshameful” for occurring on the same day as the military parade.
